Summary
The Commercial Installation Technician provides customer equipment installation of HVACR and or commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., fryers, grills, ovens, freezers).
Details
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
- Installs kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Designs, fabricates, and installs various ducts and fittings as required.
- Communicates status updates on part order(s) and repairs with branch office and or customer.
- Documents task (parts/work orders, timesheets) accurately and timely.
- Service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Whaley policies and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- One year of electrical, mechanical, and or installation experience with commercial kitchen/ HVAC/Refrigeration equipment i.e., RTUS, chillers.
- Experience with plumbing would be a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
- Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- An electrical and or plumbing background is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Working / Environmental Conditions:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
- Extensive daily travel to work site location.
- Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
- Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
- Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
